A Litany of Enduring Light

Written for Cathedral of Hope, Dallas - Pride Sunday, June 7, 2026

Leader: We gather at the threshold of this Pride Month, standing on an enduring foundation of Hope. We come to celebrate a Divine Love that is as constant as the morning and as vibrant as the light of day.

People: We are a people of the promise - colorful, courageous, and constant.

Leader: We recognize that our journey is marked by seasons of both shadow and sun. Yet, we celebrate the truth that the colors of our lives are not painted on the surface - they are etched into our very being.

People: Though the rains may fall and the winds may blow, our spirit remains unshaken.

Leader: We give thanks for the resilience found in every heart here. We are a testament that truth is not easily obscured and that the beauty of our diversity is a permanent gift to the world.

People: No storm can dull our brilliance; no flood can dim our truth.

Leader: As we move through this month of celebration, let us carry our colors with the confidence of those who know they are beloved. May we be a sign to all that grace is indelible, and that the spectrum of our love is a light that will never fade.

People: We are washed in hope, and our colors remain. We celebrate a Pride that stays.

All: Amen.
